The Winton Newsagency, open seven days a week, is not your average newsagency, with the owners, Melanie and David, offering services and products above and beyond that of a newsagent. If you need to arrange your Outback travel, you can book here for your Greyhound bus tickets, and they even arrange freight services. Regional Express (REX) airfares can be booked over the phone or instore as they are also the agent for your flight needs.
You won’t be able to pass up on their unique gourmet food, including the best nougat found in the Central West. Browse the extensive range of local souvenirs in the lovely air-conditioned shop, which also features beautiful giftware for that someone special. New to the establishment is the “Rustic Tin Shed” for all things rustic for your home and garden. They even stock plants, flowers and veggie seedlings in the cooler months.
Located inside the shop is the “Coffee Cube” where you can enjoy a barista made coffee, sit down to a sweet treat or take the family out for lunch. During peak season breakfast is served from 7.30am seven days a week. If you need food to go, you can even arrange for a packed lunch or breakfast. Catering services are also provided. They have thought of everything! In the cooler months you can sit outside in the back enclosed enchanted garden to enjoy your beverage. Take away is also offered along with phone order, too.
Melanie and David also offer document printing, scanning and laminating, and if you need mobile phone credit or phone accessories, these are also available in-store. And of course you can also purchase magazines, newspapers and stationery while you are there!
