Andrew and Lorna McArthur had been coming to the Gemfields for holidays since the early 1980s. When they decided to do an around-Australia trip in 1991, they never made it past their favourite gem and holiday region, Sapphire.  More than 34 years later, they continue to be dedicated to their pride and joy, McArthur’s Jewellers.

Andrew is an award-winning master jeweller.  He’s certainly in the right spot to do his trade justice, and to add an extra dimension. The McArthurs have an underground mine, which they admit is more of a hobby than a business.  Still, gems that they find are sent to a very skilled gem cutter at Rubyvale, and end up in the beautiful individual designs for which McArthurs are well known.

You’ll be dazzled by the collection of handcrafted, creative and original sapphire jewellery on show.  All the jewellery is made right there on the premises and they offer free resizing, of your choice of ring, with a minimal waiting time.  Andrew is one of only a couple of trade-qualified jewellers on the Gemfields and has more than 40 years experience in the jewellery and lapidary industry. As well as individual design and manufacture, he offers remakes and repairs.
