Begin your Cloncurry exploration at the Cloncurry Unearthed Visitor Information Centre and Museum. Here you will find all the information you need to plan your trip – collect road maps, hear local stories, explore the outdoor museum as well as the recently opened original Police Station from Mary Kathleen town. The kids can purchase a guide for young fossickers and enjoy finding gems and minerals in the fossicking patch or enjoy a picnic in the park with delicious local delights.

Walking through history, one of the best ways to explore the many different chapters of Cloncurry’s history is by following the self-guided Heritage Tour with maps available from the Information Centre. The self-guided tour features old railway stations, the Cloncurry Airport, heritage listed buildings, monuments commemorating World War II and more. Learn about historical figures and pioneers whose advancements in technology and aviation helped shape Outback Queensland and Australia.
